The Cape Of Good Hope
Cape of Good Hope
The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve is located at the eastern end of the Cape Peninsula. It was founded in 1939 and covers an area of 7,750 hectares. The coastline stretches for more than 40 kilometers and has more than 100 beaches. It is known as one of the most beautiful scenic spots in the world. The air in the reserve is fresh and green, and there are more than 1,200 kinds of vegetable oils. The animals include baboons, Cape zebras, antelopes, and more than 250 kinds of birds such as ostriches, sunbirds, black eagles, albatrosses, and cormorants.
The reserve is divided into three parts from west to east, namely Cape of Good Hope, Cape Maclear and Cape Point. Among them, Cape Point is 238 meters above sea level, like a sharp sword inserted into the sea. There is a lighthouse built in 1857 on the cliff. Visitors can take a cable car or hike up to the Cape Point Lighthouse, overlooking the sea and sky, and the vast and magnificent scenery. .
