Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch is one of the famous wine country in South Africa, with a beautiful environment, wine farms, cafes and high-end restaurants, excellent wines, historical buildings and famous universities. The soil is fertile, and grapes have been grown in large quantities for wine production since a long time ago. The earliest wine in South Africa was brewed in 1659 with the participation of the founder of Cape Town, Jan van Riebeeck. He found that Cape Town's climate is similar to that of Spain and France, the famous producing areas of wine. After this, winemaking in South Africa developed thanks to the active participation of the pioneers of the colonies; especially technically, it was enhanced by the participation of the Huguenot Protestants expelled from France. In the past 30 years, South African wines have been recognized by people all over the world by winning awards in world competitions.
