whale watching season

The best season to see southern right whales is from June to November, when they roost along the Cape's south coast. Every September, the Whale Watching Festival is held in Hermanus. Take a professional whale watching boat to go out to sea to watch the heroic appearance of southern right whales at close range. Sometimes they will swim very close to the shore, and tourists can enjoy their heroic appearance even on the shore. In addition to watching whales, there are also many shops, restaurants and bars around the square in the city center. There are coastal paths from Newport on the west side of the city to the coast on the east side for people to take a walk.
