Lesedi Folk Culture Village
Lesedi Cultural Village

Lesedi Folk Culture Village is an open-air museum that comprehensively displays African tribal culture. It was established in 1993 and is less than an hour's drive from downtown Johannesburg. Several important tribes in South Africa are gathered in the folk culture village: Xhosa tribe, Zulu tribe, Pedi tribe and Basara tribe. Each tribe is built and decorated according to different tribal traditions. Through these objects and explanations, tourists can truly understand the cultural differences of each tribe. Here you can watch the original ecological folk dance performances, taste the special African indigenous meals, and deeply experience the traditional culture of Africa.
