Soweto
South of Johannesburg is the town of Soweto – with about 2 million residents, it is the largest black community in South Africa and the largest slum. As the birthplace of the black movement in South Africa, the two Nobel Peace Prize winners Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu both lived here, and it is also the base of the South African Democratic Revolutionary Movement. .
